Store Policies

Mark Paul offers a full 30-Day Money Back Guarantee

Our 30-day money back guarantee gives you time to make sure your purchase is perfect. We stand behind our merchandise and if you need to return it for any reason, we’ll happily provide you with an exchange or full refund.

Our Return Policy

Your complete satisfaction with our product is guaranteed or items may be returned or exchanged within thirty days from when it was shipped, with a Return Merchandise Authorization. You will only pay for return shipping and insurance fees. To receive a return authorization on orders shipped within the United States follow the steps outlined below.

Please note that to be eligible for return, items must be in their original purchase condition, include all product documentation, and shipped within 30 days.

To expedite exchanging for different product, we recommend returning for refund and placing a new order. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for your refund to be processed.

If a package or item delivered to you arrives damaged, please refuse the shipment or call us immediately at 562.612.3610. Please retain all packing materials unless instructed otherwise by Mark Paul Fine Jewelers. Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported immediately or within 5 days of receipt of your order. Mark Paul will not be responsible for lost or damaged returned shipments.

Please call a Mark Paul Fine Jewelry representative at 562.612.3610, Monday – Saturday 9am to 7pm (Pacific Standard) items for exchange, repair, resize, or to report damage or defect. We recommend that you securely package your items in original packing materials, fully insured. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

Items that show signs of wear or have been altered, resized or damaged cannot be accepted for return. Please allow another 7 – 10 days after processing for your bank to post credit against your account.

Non-Refundable Items

Engraved jewelry . All Mark Paul Fine Jewelry engraved rings may not be returned for credit, however engraving fees are non-refundable. The removal of Mark Paul engraving from any item is all non refundable. Special orders are final sale and are not eligible for return. Returns without a receipt and improperly or uninsured packages will be refused upon receipt. Returns with missing paperwork or product will not be processed.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges, including Special Handling and any other related costs, are non-refundable. Please do not ship returns C.O.D. If you receive any portion of your order damaged, please contact us prior to returning the items. Mark Paul will not reimburse you for unauthorized shipping expenses incurred. Please retain all shipping materials for FedEx pick up and/or inspection.

If we request that you return the merchandise to us, we may reimburse you for full or partial return shipping expenses at our discretion. We will not reimburse you for overnight, express or other special services used at your discretion.

Credits to Your Charge Card

Credit card purchases will be refunded against the credit card or account used on the original purchase. Please allow up to 2 weeks from the date that Mark Paul has received your return for your account to be credited. You may wish to contact your credit card company on posting guidelines as they can vary. If you made a purchase of $1000 or greater using a bank wire, and are an International customer, your refund will take approximately 3 weeks from the date of the return’s receipt. For bank wire purchases under $1000, please allow 3-4 weeks. Bank wire refunds are posted against the original account they originated from.

Sale Price Adjustments

Sale price adjustments must be made within 7 days of the original ship date unless otherwise specified. Price adjustments will be provided as store credit.

Cancel or Change an Order

If you would like to change or cancel an order please callMark Paul at 562.612.3610. We will attempt to accommodate order changes to the extent possible prior to shipping confirmation. Some changes will result in a shipping delay. We are unable to accommodate changes or cancellations on special order requests and/or orders that have already shipped. If your order has already shipped, please contact us to set up a merchandise return once you have received the shipment.

Custom Work

We can make just about anything you can dream up in Gold, Platinum, or Silver. All Custom Jewelry is non-refundable, and requires a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit (Deposit: 25/30/50% depending on the Project) before the work begins. Full payment is required when the merchandise is picked up. We offer a 100-percent satisfaction guarantee, so if you like another piece in the showcase, an exchange can usually be made, except if the merchandise is engraved or personalized (No Refunds)

Gift Certificates

Mark Paul Fine Jewelry offers gift certificates in any denomination.

Jewelry Inspections

Mark Paul Fine Jewelry recommends that you bring in your jewelry every three months (whether purchased from MPFJ or not) to have our staff clean and inspect the pieces. This helps prevent any possible damage or loss of your gemstones and keeps your jewelry looking beautiful. After three months of wear, jewelry tends to lose its sparkle. Why let it look dull when we will clean and check it for FREE!?

Layaway (In – Store ONLY)

Mark Paul Fine Jewelry offers a 3-month, interest-free layaway with a minimum deposit of 20%. The balance of the layaway is to be paid in full within 3 months of the original purchase date. If the customer fails to pay off the balance at the end of the allotted time frame and fails to contact MPFJ to make arrangements, then a 15% restocking fee as well as the cost of any alterations will be deducted from the customer’s balance and a store credit will be issued. (Extended Payment Options are available for larger purchases.)

Mark Paul Fine Jewelry Does Not Give Refunds on layaway items

There is a $10.00 Late Payment Charge per month and a charge of 1.65% per month on layaways left over 90 Days.

Our Guarantee / Warranty

All merchandise is guaranteed to be what the description states it to be–free of manufacturer’s defects. It will be left to the discretion o fMark Paul Fine Jewelry to determine the limits of our liability for repairs or replacement.


Full purchase price will be given for all loose diamonds and other up-gradeable Jewelry purchased from Mark Paul toward the purchase of another piece of merchandise; at least twice the original purchase price. All Trade-Ins must be free of damage to receive full trade-in value. (No time restraints. Trade-In can take place the day you purchase and any day following.)

We also take gold and diamonds not purchased from Mark Paul that are of a quality we can scrap as Trade-Ins (twice scrap-value) toward new merchandise. See Store for more details.
